Easy Homemade Chocolate Whipped Cream
This 5-ingredient chocolate whipped cream frosting is super easy to make and perfect for topping all of your favorite desserts!

- 2 cups heavy cream cold
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder Dutch processed
- ¼ cup powdered sugar sifted as needed
- 1 tea vanilla extract
- ⅛ tea kosher salt
Add on the ingredients to a large mixing bowl.
Using a hand or stand mixer fitted with a whisk attachment, whip the ingredients together until they begin to thicken.
Once the whipped cream holds soft peaks, switch to a hand whisk.
Continue to stir by hand until thick and hold stiff peaks.
Use to frost your favorite cake and cupcakes or serve with pie.
Keep chocolate whipped cream frosting refrigerated until serving.
Frost cakes and cupcakes with chocolate whipped cream the same day that it is made. After, you can store a dessert with whipped cream frosting in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
It is not recommend for freezing, unless that is part of the recipe.
